What is the Diploma all about?
- The Diploma is a brand new qualification for 14-19 year olds in England
- You study the usual subjects you learn in school with core subjects that relate directly to the industry of you’re choice.
- Mix up your classroom time between a local college, a local business or even in the classroom with employers themselves.
So how will it work ?
- The qualification is a little different from your regular school set up.
- Time will be split between your school, a local college and the opportunity to learn in a practical, real - world environment in the workplace.
- An alternative to traditional qualifications - it helps you develop work - relevant skills, knowledge and understanding in an exciting, creative and enjoyable way.
- To experience a day in the life of a diploma in sport and active leisure student.

The Diploma will be taught at three levels: Foundation, Higher and Advanced and is designed to be as flexible as possible. You will have a greater choice about what you study. There is the option to study the Diploma alongside GCSE's or A-Levels and an advanced diploma cold progress into a related degree at university
