The Diploma will be recognised by universities for further education.
The new Sport and Leisure diploma, along with the other specialist diplomas currently being developed, has a lot to offer and will certainly go some way to boost the number of young people staying in full time education as well as encouraging aspiration.

It will also be highly valued by employers for both employment and apprenticeships.
All the functional skills studied in-line with the Diploma are interlinked. From an employer’s point of view, being able to fill out membership forms, working the till, having good numeracy skills and filling in paperwork are all vital prerequisites of an entry level candidate. All the subject areas are up to date and contemporary with references to modern industry practice.
