Employers currently involved with consortia
There are currently over 3,500 employers that have agreed to support a vast array of consortia across the UK. With this number continuously growing, the types of employers are ranging from nationally recognised sports teams and organisations to small or local businesses. The success of the Diploma heavily reilies on employers in the industry showing their support. A simple supportive quote can go a long way. But on the other hand, school and college visits, work shadowing, careers day talks, project setting and work experience opportunities can go a lot further in helping to develop the young people undertaking the Diploma.
Below are some examples of the types of employers that have pledged their support to consortia to date.

Work experience guidance
QCDA has produced a guide is for all those who are accountable for the successful completion of work experience in Diploma programmes: Diploma teachers, exams officers and work-related learning coordinators in schools and colleges, and representatives of the education business partnerships that support consortia. It provides guidance on the requirements for work experience and shows how it supports Diploma programmes.
