ASL guidance for consortia

In this section you will find information that will help consortia in their planning for the Additional and Specialist Learning (ASL) offer they will make to learners.

The ASL catalogue for the Diploma in Sport and Active Leisure offers ideas on how to increase the choice to learners who want to deepen their line related knowledge. It is based on qualifications that have been by the DDP to allow progression into particular sectors within the diploma footprint. The qualifications also support progression into skilled employment, apprenticeships and to higher education opportunities related to the sector.

Consortia need to make their own decisions about which qualifications offered by which awarding body they wish to timetable. ASL qualifications must comply with the guided learning hour (glh) ASL requirements of the diploma level. For the Foundation Diploma - 120glh;Higher Diploma - 180glh; Advanced Diploma - 360glh.
