Consultation on regulatory arrangements for component and Diploma awarding bodies
We have been undertaking work to update the Regulatory arrangements for component and Diploma awarding bodies (Recognition criteria and operating rules) from version 2 to version 3. These are the overarching regulations which awarding organisations involved in the Diploma (component and Diploma awarding bodies) must comply with.
Formal consultation period
Ofqual is now inviting stakeholders to participate in its online consultation on the proposed updates to Regulatory arrangements for component and Diploma awarding bodies. This publication sets out the recognition requirements and the regulations for operating the Diploma that component and Diploma awarding bodies must meet and the changes are designed to improve the clarity and understanding of the requirements. The online consultation runs from 1 March until 31 March 2010.
This online consultation introduces each section of the publication with information on the changes and proposed regulations. You will be asked for responses to questions on clarity, understanding and the level of detail throughout the document. There will be the opportunity for you to provide specific comments and feedback to explain your responses.
The consultation can be accessed at (http://comment.ofqual.gov.uk/diploma-operating-rules/) and a complete copy of the proposed publication can be downloaded to view and print. You can progress through the document on screen and also go back to sections you would like to re-visit.
